Inspector Talent Pool & Recruitment Process
ESA recruits Electrical Wiring Inspectors on an ongoing basis to proactively backfill upcoming retirements and future vacancies across Ontario. This posting is intended to establish a qualified talent pool, rather than fill a specific, immediate vacancy.

Job Overview
If becoming an Inspector is of interest to you and you meet the requirements outlined below, please submit a fully completed online application, including a detailed resume outlining previous employment (including employer names and dates of employment), work history, education, and the date of issue of your original 309A Certificate of Qualification.
As an Electrical Inspector, you are driven to positively impact electrical safety. You are responsible for inspecting electrical installations from start to finish, including:
Examining electrical drawings and inspecting installations to ensure Ontario Electrical Safety Code compliance
Advising customers and industry stakeholders
Creating and maintaining inspection records
Investigating and reporting on electrical fires and accidents
Required Qualifications and Experience
Current Certificate of Qualification – Electrician Journeyperson (309A – Construction and Maintenance)
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience across residential, farm, commercial, industrial, and high-voltage substation environments
Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and electrical industry practices
Valid Ontario driver’s licence with a safe driving record
Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
Strong customer service skills and the ability to work safely, independently, and with minimal supervision
Basic computer proficiency and ability to understand business and financial reports
